What AXT580 is

• Full name: AXT580 Pore Filler
• Type: 1-component (1K) plastic surface treatment

It is designed to seal microscopic pores in plastic parts so paint finishes look smooth and defect-free.

What it’s used for

AXT580 is applied to:

• Plastic bumpers
• Interior or exterior plastic trims
• Flexible plastic panels (PUR, PP, etc.)

Purpose:

• Seals tiny surface porosity
• Prevents pinholes and “bubbling” in paint
• Improves final gloss and smoothness

How it’s used (basic process)

• Applied before primer
• Wiped on with a lint-free cloth
• Excess is wiped off
• Leaves a very thin pore-sealing layer

Then you continue with:

1. Plastic adhesion promoter (if required)
2. Primer / surfacer
3. Basecoat
4. Clear coat
